Preserving the tradition in the hectic contemporary rhythm of life. Establishing harmony between tradition, nature and progress through the natural production of our Karst meat products. Enabling a healthy and high-quality life for the individual and the society as a whole by offering authentic and natural products without any artificial additives. A vision that follows the domestic consumer and carries the voice of our tradition abroad.
In October 2003 the larger Karst prosciutto producers associated into GIZ (Economic Interest Association) Kraški Pršut, with the intention to protect Karst prosciutto as a regionally protected trademark within the European Union. This means that only the four of us can produce Karst prosciutto according to the exactly specified and controlled procedures on the protected geographical area, i.e. the Karst. In October 2004 the production of Karst prosciutto with the RGL (recognised geographic label) commenced.
